This is one of the great treasures of Ventnor – a short stretch of beach, with a couple of cafés, a restaurant and a shop. It’s all very quaint and English, and you can only get to it on foot (or by boat if you’ve got one to hand). There’s also a lovely coastal walk from here to the Esplanade.
Ventnor Cricket Ground
Set in a bowl-shaped pitch on the clifftop above Steephill Cove is the cricket ground. There is a modern pavilion equipped with a fully-stocked bar serving drinks and hot food, and there are regular fixtures during the season. Perfect for warm summer weekends!
Thanks to Ventnor’s microclimate, these gardens boast an unrivalled subtropical and exotic plant collection – usually found indoors in the UK. The garden is an immersive landscape, transporting the visitor to experience Mediterranean regions from around the world. Visit: botanic.co.uk/
This is one of our favourite restaurants in Ventnor town centre, thanks to it’s diverse and distinctive breakfast lunch and dinner menus. Cantina is also an artisan bakery. We recommend booking as it fills up fast. More info at: cantinaventor.co.uk/
